Anyone know if there's a difference between @RISK and the DecisionTools Suite? Like, should I just get @RISK or is the whole suite way better?

@RISK is just one part of the DecisionTools Suite. The suite has like, PrecisionTree for decision trees, TopRank, StatTools and other stuff. If you only need Monte Carlo, just @RISK is fine. If you do more varied analysis, the suite is better value.

Depends what you need. @RISK is just for simulation. The suite bundles other tools like optimization and stats. Check out what each tool in the suite does and if you'd use it.

Yeah, they're legit. Palisade is now part of Lumivero, but it's still the same software and team pretty much. Don't worry, it's not a knock-off.

For corporate, it's mostly volume discounts if you buy a bunch of licenses. Seasonal stuff is usually more for academic/student pricing.

I think they do some Q4 budget clearance stuff sometimes, but it's not like a coupon code you can just punch in. More like you gotta talk to sales and get a quote.

hey, trying to figure out if @RISK actually works on Mac. The website mostly talks about Windows stuff, anyone use it on an Apple machine?

Nah, it's Windows only as far as native software goes. You'd need to run Boot Camp or a VM like Parallels to use it on a Mac. That's what I do.

Yeah, can confirm. It's an Excel add-in, so gotta have Excel for Windows running somehow on your Mac. Bit of a pain but it works.

Yeah, a .edu email is usually enough, but sometimes they ask for proof of enrollment or a student ID scan. Best to check their academic pricing page.
